Why Clean Tanks?

Fuel tanks can be contaminated with moisture leading to algae and/or other particulates. Without regular cleaning, this is often only discovered when there is an issue which, in turn may lead to bigger problems. At the very least, it will be inconvenient, but also may result in safety issues and additional expenses.

Imagine being at sea when you suddenly lose power, risking lives and property. You notice that your gas station’s pumps have been slowing down lately. Now you are faced with a costly shut down and loss of revenue. What would it mean for your building or facility if there was a power failure and your emergency generator won’t work? Suddenly there are no lights, computers, elevators, possibly heat, and most importantly, emergency systems. (In fact, according to regulations, all buildings should have tanks inspected and sampled annually.) These are but a few of the actual situations that CFOP has dealt with over the years.

Why Choose Us?

Quality of Work

Our company works to the highest standards in the industry using equipment manufactured by the most reputable companies.  Many decades of experience have shown that only using filters with higher micron ratings – such as inlet bag filters – simply does not produce a clean enough end result. We use only the highest quality and most efficient micron filters for all of the work we complete.

Our Polishing Process and the equipment we use meets & exceeds several international standards for quality of fuel maintenance.

The Standards we meet are:

  • EI 1581 6th Edition ( previously known as API 1581 5th edition )
  • CSA B836-05 ( R2010 )
  • CSA 282.15
  • ASTM D4176 – 04 ( 2014 )
  • National Building Code 2015
